SailRx Prescription Software — v2.0

This software is for licensed optometric and ophthalmic professionals only. By using SailRx, you confirm that your practice holds all licenses required to issue optical prescriptions in your jurisdiction.

Data Storage & Privacy

All patient data entered into SailRx is stored only on this device in AES-256 encrypted form. No patient information is transmitted to any external server or third party. The developer has no access to any patient data at any time.

Your practice is solely responsible for maintaining appropriate physical and administrative safeguards for this device in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state regulations.

No Warranty

SailRx is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. The Cloudsail Project and its contributors expressly disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The full risk as to quality and performance rests with you.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Cloudsail Project shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use this software.

Regulatory Notices

  • This software is not FDA-cleared as a medical device. It is a clinical documentation tool, not a diagnostic instrument.
  • This software is not a substitute for clinical judgment. All prescriptions are the sole responsibility of the issuing practitioner.
  • HIPAA compliance, state board regulations, and all applicable laws are the responsibility of the practice.

HIPAA Responsibility

By using this software clinically, your practice assumes the role of HIPAA Covered Entity and is responsible for all required safeguards, Business Associate Agreements, and breach notification procedures.

License

This software is licensed, not sold. Your license is conditioned on compliance with these terms and is non-transferable and domain-locked.
